How do I apply for a Macy's Credit Card online?

 

To apply online:

  1. Visit the Macy's Credit Card application page and select See if I prequalify.
  2. Complete all required application fields.
  3. Review and accept the Terms & Conditions.
  4. Submit your application.
 

Application & Approval

When you apply, you'll automatically be considered for both:

  • Macy's Credit Card
  • Macy's American Express® Card

 

If you're approved for both, you'll be able to choose which card you'd like to receive.

Credit decisions are usually provided immediately. In some cases, processing may take 7–10 business days.

Using Your New Card

If approved, you can begin shopping immediately:

  • Online at macys.com
  • In Macy's stores

 

You may also be eligible for a new account discount upon approval.

Your card should arrive within 7–10 business days after your account is opened.

Your card package may include exclusive offers that can often be used as soon as you receive them.

Activation instructions will be included with your card when it arrives.

Card Design & Star Rewards Status

Card color is based on your Star Rewards status:

  • Silver and Gold members receive a red card
  • Platinum members receive a platinum-colored card

Yes. Once you make qualifying purchases and are upgraded to Platinum status, you'll receive a platinum-colored card
