Does Macy’s offer eReceipts?

Yes. Macy’s offers the option to receive receipts by email (eReceipts), paper, or both.

 

To manage your receipt preferences, sign in to your macys.com account and follow the steps below.

From a computer:

  1. Select the drop‑down menu in the top‑right corner and choose Profile.
  2. Select Preferences, then Notifications.
  3. In the Store Receipts section, select Edit and choose your preference.

 

From a mobile device:

  1. Select the menu in the top‑left corner and choose My Account, then Profile.
  2. In the Contact/Security section, select Sign up for Email Notifications.
  3. In the Store Receipts section, select Edit and choose your preference.

 

Important notes:

  • When checking out in a Macy’s store, a Store Colleague may ask you to confirm your receipt preference.
  • Some Macy’s store locations are required by local law to charge a nominal fee for merchandise bags provided at the customer’s request for in‑store or pickup purchases. You’re welcome to bring your own bag or tote if you prefer to avoid this fee.

Macy’s accepts returns with either an eReceipt or a paper receipt. Most merchandise may be returned within 30 days of purchase, with some exceptions. To view the full return policy, please click here.

Receipt information can typically be retrieved for up to two years after purchase. Store Colleagues or Customer Care may be able to locate your purchase using:

  • Your account number
  • A customer return label
  • A Gift Registry number

 

If your receipt is located, a refund will be issued to the original form of payment or as store credit. If the receipt cannot be found, a store credit will be issued for the item’s lowest selling price within the last 30 days.

  • In‑store returns: Funds are available immediately.
  • Returns by mail: Credit is issued once the return is received and processed at the fulfillment center.

 

Please note: Posting times may vary based on your financial institution.

Some email providers group messages together. Check for “Show all,” “Unhide,” or similar options in your email to view all eReceipts. If you’re still missing an eReceipt, Customer Care can assist.

Only one email address can be associated with eReceipts at a time.
