Macy's Stores
For Macy’s stores, clearance sales will begin in January and run for approximately 10 weeks. For Macy’s Backstage locations, clearance sales will begin in January and run for approximately 4 weeks.
Closing a store is never an easy decision, and it’s not one we take lightly. This change allows us to continue improving the Macy’s experience and serve customers in the ways they shop today—both online and at nearby locations.

Star Money cannot be earned or redeemed at a closing store after 1/11/2026. However, Star Money can still be earned and redeemed online or at other Macy’s locations.

Macy’s Furniture Galleries (Moving Locations)
For Macy’s Furniture Galleries that are relocating, clearance sales will begin in February and run for approximately 6 weeks.
Relocating allows us to continue improving the Macy’s experience by bringing our furniture assortment into nearby Macy’s stores, making it easier to shop furniture alongside everything else Macy’s offers.
Yes. This change does not impact existing orders. All furniture and mattress purchases previously made in the store will be delivered as scheduled.
