Buy Online, Pick Up in Store

 

Macy’s offers Buy Online, Pick Up in Store at no additional shipping cost. Here’s how it works:

 

How it works

  1. Add items to your bag and select Pick Up at checkout.
    • If Pick Up isn’t available, try selecting a different store location.
  2. The selected store receives your order.
  3. Items are pulled from the store’s current inventory and prepared for pickup.
    • Some items may be eligible for Ship to Store Pickup if they are not available in-store.
  4. You’ll receive an email as soon as your order is Ready for Pickup.
  5. When your order is ready, you can either:
    • Pick it up inside the store at the designated pickup area, or
    • Choose Curbside Pickup (where available) using the link in your email.

 

For most locations, orders placed by 4:00 PM local time are ready for pickup the same day.

 

Ship to Store Pickup orders are typically ready within 5–8 business days after your order is confirmed.

Frequently Asked Questions

If your order is not picked up within that timeframe, it will be canceled and a full refund will be issued to your original form of payment. Refunds may take 3–5 business days, depending on your bank.

Finding Pick Up–eligible items is easy:

  1. Enter a product name or description in the search bar on macys.com.
  2. On the results page, use the Delivery & Pickup filters and check “Pick Up at”.
    • Curbside availability will appear here as well.
  3. Your search results will update to show items available for pickup at the selected store.
  4. You can change the store at any time before checkout by selecting the store name and choosing a different location.

You must select your pickup store before placing your order. Pickup locations cannot be changed after checkout.

 

Option 1: Shop Your Store banner
Select the Shop Your Store banner on macys.com, choose Change Store, and follow the Select a Store prompts.

 

Option 2: Search & Filter
Search for a product, then use the Pick Up at filter and select a different store.

 

Option 3: Your Bag
In Your Bag, select Ship It or Pick Up Today (if available). Click the listed store to choose a different location.

 

Note: Some Ship to Store items will show “Pick Up in 5–8 Days.” These items are shipped to the store and you’ll receive an email once they’re ready—just like same‑day pickup orders.

  • Your Ready for Pickup email (barcode included)
  • A valid government‑issued ID (driver’s license, passport, or military ID)

 

You may designate one alternate pickup person during checkout. They must bring the pickup email and valid ID. For security purposes, your ID may be scanned during pickup.

 

Pickup locations inside the store may vary. Your Ready for Pickup email will include specific instructions. Curbside Pickup is available at select locations and can be activated using the link in your email when you arrive.

After placing your order, you have 15 minutes to cancel or make changes. If your order isn’t picked up within 7 days, it will be canceled and refunded automatically. Once your order is Ready for Pickup, you may also contact the pickup store if you no longer plan to pick it up.

Gift wrap
Gift wrap availability varies by location and may be offered at pickup.

 

Trying on your items
Fitting rooms are available in store so you can try on your items.

 

Registry items
Gift registry items are eligible for Buy Online, Pick Up in Store.
