Why am I getting a credit card error when placing an order?

If you're receiving a credit card error during checkout, check that your payment information has been entered correctly before trying again.

Review the following:

  • Enter your card number without spaces or dashes.
  • Select the correct card type (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.).
  • Complete all required fields, including your phone number and email address.
  • Make sure your billing address matches the information your bank has on file.
  • If you're using an American Express card, enter the 4-digit security code located on the front of the card.

After updating your information, try placing your order again.

Payment Troubleshooting & Common Questions

Your payment may be declined if:

  • Your bank is blocking the transaction.
  • Your billing information does not match what your bank has on file.
  • Your card does not have sufficient available funds.

If the issue continues, contact your bank for additional information.

If you're still having trouble placing your order:

  • Re-enter your payment information carefully.
  • Try a different payment method.
  • Contact your bank to check for restrictions or declined transactions.

If your order was not successfully placed, the charge you're seeing is likely a temporary authorization hold rather than a completed charge.

Authorization holds:

  • Confirm that funds are available.
  • Do not represent a completed purchase.
  • Are automatically released by your financial institution.

Most authorization holds are removed within 1–7 business days, depending on your bank's processing timeline.
