Allstate Protection Plans provide coverage for eligible purchases from Macy’s for multiple years. If your issue is covered, Allstate’s 24/7 claims support and award-winning service help get your item back to normal quickly.

For Furniture, Mattresses, and Area Rug plans, your protection plan starts on the date your covered item is delivered. For all other categories (jewelry, electronics and general merchandise), your coverage start date is the date your item ships. Please note that pre-existing conditions and damages incurred during delivery are not covered by your protection plan.  For items that arrive damaged, please contact Macy’s Customer Service.

No. You do not need to register your plan for it to be active. However, uploading your order information now could save you time down the road if you ever forget your plan details. You can also set up your online account for faster claim filing in the future. You can begin this process at AllstateProtectionPlans.com/macys.

• Digital photos are a critical part of the claim process. We encourage you to utilize the app or AllstateProtectionPlans.com/macys to upload a picture or video for your claim process. Using these resources often provides a faster turnaround time than calling.

Yes. You can purchase a protection plan up to 30 days after purchasing an eligible product. To add a protection plan after your original item purchase, please contact a Macy's Sales Colleague via chat, call 1-800-289-6229 (TTY: 711), or visit your local Macy's store with your receipt.

Please note that issues that began before you purchased your protection plan are not covered.

Macy’s drivers will inspect deliveries for any damage but if they miss something, please report it back to Macy’s within three days of delivery. Pre-existing conditions and damages incurred during delivery are not covered by your protection plan.  Please contact Macy’s Customer Service for items that arrive damaged.

The fastest way is to file a claim online at AllstateProtectionPlans.com/macys. You'll need to create an online account, or log into your existing account. We'll then ask you to provide information about the issue. When creating your account, be sure to use the same email address that you used to purchase your plan. Many claims are approved instantly. In other cases, Allstate will guide you through next steps.

When you file a covered claim, we'll use our expertise to identify the best resolution. This may include, at Allstate’s discretion: repair, replacement, stain removal kit, or reimbursement up to the price you paid for the item (exclusive of taxes and fees and after all discounts).

No. There are no deductibles or hidden fees in protection plans for items purchased at Macy's.

Plans are paired with your choice of mattress protector to help keep your mattress safe from spills and stains that could void its manufacturer’s warranty. The mattress protector must be used for your protection plan to be active.

Plan covers:

• Pet and people stains: Excludes sweat, incontinence, hair products, body oil, and lotion.
• Defects in material and manufacturing: Covers mattress protector only.

The Adjustable Base plan includes 10-year protection against mechanical and electrical failures for adjustable bed bases.

Adjustable Base plan covers:

• Mechanical and electrical failures: Applies to the adjustable bed base only.
• Defects in material and manufacturing: Covers adjustable base only.

Standard Protection Plans cover issues resulting from product failures, breakdowns, hardware malfunctions and defects. The following categories offer Standard Protection Plans:

• Non-portable electronics

• Televisions

Accident Protection Plans include everything in Standard Protection Plans as well as product damage as a result of accidents such as cracked screens, spills, and liquid damage. The following categories offer Accident Protection Plans:

• Portable electronics
• Laptops
• Luggage
• Baby gear
• Furniture, Area Rugs, Mattresses (discussed earlier in greater detail)

• Incidents reported more than 30 days after stain or damage occurrence (furniture, area rug, and mattress protector plans)
• Accumulation of stains or damage over time
• Normal wear and tear that does not affect the functionality or use of the product
• Intentional damage
• Products that are damaged upon arrival; these should be reported directly to Macy’s within three days of delivery
• Recurring damage (e.g. the cat repeatedly scratches the back of the sofa or the dog has a favorite spot to potty)
• Loss, theft, or intentional damage
• Product quality issues that don’t impact product function
• Cosmetic scratches that don’t penetrate the surface
• Damage caused by neglect, misuse, and weather (including sun-bleaching and mold/mildew)
• Damage caused by the application of dyes or other topical treatment
• Heavy commercial use

• Additionally for mattress protector plans, the following are not covered:
  • Structural breakdowns or defects of the mattress
  • Accumulation of stains from repeated use (single incident stains are covered)
  • Stains caused by perspiration, incontinence, hair products, body oil, and lotion
  • Punctures or burns

Most items come with a manufacturer's warranty that lasts one year. If there is an issue during that time that is covered by the warranty, you will be referred to Macy’s for service. If there is an issue that is not covered by the manufacturer during the warranty period but is included in your protection plan, the plan will cover it.

You can cancel your plan by calling Macy's at any time at 1-800-289-6229 (TTY: 711). For cancellations within 30 days of purchase, you will receive a full refund. After 30 days, you will receive a prorated refund based upon the time remaining on your protection plan.

If you don’t make a claim during your furniture or rug plan, you may request 100% of your protection plan price in the form of a Macy’s voucher toward your next rug, furniture, or bedding purchase at Macy’s.
