New Account Discount:
Subject to credit approval. New accounts only. The new account discount (the “New Account Discount”) is a limited time discount valid on merchandise purchases made at Macy’s, Macy’s Backstage and macys.com charged on your new Macy’s Credit Card. Applicants who qualify for immediate approval are eligible to receive a New Account Discount (the “Standard Discount”) of 20% off eligible merchandise purchases made with the card in Macy’s stores, and 30% off eligible merchandise purchases on macys.com on the day you’re approved, limited to a total of $100 in savings over the two days. From time to time, we may offer a promotional discount instead of the Standard Discount that varies in discount percentage, savings limit, and/or duration from the Standard Discount (the “Promotional Discount”). The availability of each Promotional Discount offer along with the discount percentage, savings limit and duration will be disclosed at the time each Promotional Discount offer is made. When a Promotional Discount is offered you will receive the Promotional Discount and not the Standard Discount. The New Account Discount may not be applied to previous purchases. The New Account Discount does not apply to services, select licensed departments, Apple products, smart watches/jewelry and select tech accessories, Gift Cards, restaurants, gourmet food and wine. Applicants must qualify for immediate approval to receive the New Account Discount; applications requiring further processing will not receive the New Account Discount. The New Account Discount does not apply to upgrades of a Macy’s Credit Card to a Macy’s American Express Card. Employees of Macy’s and its affiliates are not eligible.For your convenience and record keeping, the New Account Discount will appear on your statement. It will not appear on your register receipts or during checkout on macys.com.
Loyalty Status:
New Credit Cards are opened with Silver status. Purchases on your Macy’s Credit Card at Macy’s in the previous full calendar year, less returns, credits, discounts, and adjustments, will be used to calculate your Status for the next year. Macy’s Credit Cards will be upgraded to Gold status 7 days after spending $500-$1,199 at Macy’s on your Macy’s Credit Card. Macy’s Credit Cards will be upgraded to Platinum status 7 days after spending $1,200 or more at Macy's on your Macy's Credit Card.. Credit Cards that are upgraded will remain at that level for the remainder of the current calendar year.
1 Point per $1 Spent (Bronze):
Star Rewards members with Bronze status earn 1 point per $1 spent on Rewards Earning Purchases at Macy’s, Macy’s Backstage and macys.com, less returns, credits, discounts and adjustments. Points are not earned: on Macy’s gift cards, services (e.g., Beauty Box and other subscription services, restaurants, salon services, alterations, etc.), fees, or sales tax; on purchases made outside of Macy’s or in any department that does not use a Macy’s point of sale register; or when redeeming Star Money, Macy’s Rewards Cards, or Macy’s gift cards. Every time 1,000 points are accumulated, a $10 Star Money reward will be issued. Star Money expires 30 days after issuance.
2 Points per $1 Spent (Silver):
Macy’s Credit Cards with Silver status earn 2 points per $1 spent on Rewards Earning Purchases at Macy’s, Macy’s Backstage and macys.com with a Macy’s Credit Card, less returns, credits, discounts and adjustments. Points are not earned: on Macy’s gift cards, services (e.g., Beauty Box and other subscription services, restaurants, salon services, alterations, etc.), fees, or sales tax; on purchases made outside of Macy’s or in any department that does not use a Macy’s point of sale register; when redeeming Star Money, Macy’s Rewards Cards, or Macy’s gift cards; or when paying with a virtual wallet other than Macy's Pay, even if you’re using a Macy’s Credit Card in the virtual wallet. Every time 1,000 points are accumulated, a $10 Star Money reward will be issued. Star Money expires 30 days after issuance.

Star Money Bonus Days:
On Star Money Bonus Days, Star Rewards members with the designated loyalty status or statuses may earn points on Macy’s purchases at a level as described at the time an offer is made. Macy’s is under no obligation to offer any particular number of Star Money Bonus Days.
Birthday Surprise:
The primary Cardholder on a Macy’s Credit Card and Bronze members will receive a birthday surprise during their birth month. The value of the birthday surprise may vary for each member. Purchase may be required. To receive a birthday surprise, you must have made a purchase at Macy’s or macys.com on your account or with your membership in the past 12 months. We must have your current address and you must not have opted out of receiving marketing mail from Macy’s as of the date we prepare Birthday mailings. You may need to visit a Macy’s store to receive your birthday surprise.
Member Exclusive Offers:
From time to time, Macy’s Cardholders and Bronze members may receive member-exclusive perks and offers when they shop with their Macy’s Credit Card or Star Rewards membership. The value of each perk and offer may differ and there is no guarantee of a certain number. Purchase may be required and perks and offers may be good for a limited time.
Star Pass Coupons:
Exclusions apply and are disclosed on each Star Pass. We must have your current address and you must not have opted-out of receiving marketing mail from Macy’s as of the date we prepare Star Pass mailings.
Free Shipping at $39:
Offer applies to standard shipping for purchases made to one location in the contiguous U.S. and may be applied to premium or overnight shipping or same-day delivery for an upgrade fee for purchases made by Bronze members or by Silver, Gold, or Platinum Star Rewards members when using a payment method other than a Macy’s credit card. To receive free shipping offer, members must identify themselves as Star Rewards members using a registered phone number or by presenting a Macy's credit card when shopping in-store, or by signing in to a macys.com account linked to their Star Rewards membership when shopping online. Minimum required spend excludes gift wrap charges, purchases of gift cards, and tax. A $10 shipping surcharge on domestic orders applies to purchases shipped outside the contiguous United States: Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau and U.S. Virgin Islands. Shipping offer does not apply to furniture, mattresses, rugs, or prior purchases. Silver members get Free Shipping with a $25 minimum spend when using a Macy’s credit card. Gold and Platinum members get free shipping with no minimum spend requirement when using a Macy’s credit card. 3.2.1 Points per $1 Spent:
Get 3 points per $1 spent on your Macy’s American Express Card at restaurants. Restaurants are defined as stand-alone merchants in the U.S. that primarily serve food. Purchases made at a restaurant located within another establishment will not qualify for points. Get 2 points per $1 spent on your Macy’s American Express Card at gas stations and supermarkets. Gas Stations are defined as stand-alone merchants in the U.S. that primarily sell gasoline. Superstores, supermarkets, convenience stores and warehouse clubs that sell gasoline are not considered gas stations. Supermarkets are defined as stand-alone merchants in the U.S. primarily selling supermarket products, excluding superstores and warehouses. Macy’s American Express Cardholders will receive 1 point per $1 spent on all other qualifying purchases made when using the Macy’s American Express Card outside of Macy’s. The following transactions do not earn points when using the Macy’s American Express Card outside of Macy’s: cash advances, money orders and other cash equivalents. American Express determines the industry category for merchants, but Macy’s reserves the right to determine which purchases qualify for points.

Star Money may be used to purchase merchandise at Macy’s, Macy’s Backstage, or macys.com, but can’t be exchanged for cash or used: to purchase Macy’s gift cards; for services (e.g., Beauty Box and other subscription services, restaurants, salon services, alterations, etc.); in any department that doesn’t use a Macy’s point of sale register; for any purchase that will be shipped outside the U.S.; or as payment on any credit account. To redeem a Star Money reward on orders of furniture and mattresses on macys.com, you must call Macy’s Customer Service. Star Money may not be redeemed when paying with a Macy’s Credit Card in a Macy’s store if you use an electronic wallet other than Macy’s Pay. Star Money cannot be redeemed in self-checkout. Star Money is valid for 30 calendar days from issuance. Purchases made solely with Star Money will not receive discounts available with cardholder savings offers which require payment with a Macy’s Credit Card.
