Black wears off

We have had 2 sets of this cutlery for about 6 months. The black wears off and now it has silver on the prongs and edges.

Unique Finish Durability TBD

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I grew up adjacent to the David Mellor factory without the budget to justify purchasing most of their products. I am thus fussy about my flatware. I ordered these primarily for the matte black finish.The look is unique, the spoon and fork handles are well fashioned and the weight is pleasant. The tines on the forks are satisfyingly pointy without being an immediate safety hazard. So far they've washed well on the top cutlery tray of a new Bosch dishwasher.Two things to be aware of that meant this wasn't a full five stars from me:1. The knives are slightly chunky in size and weight relative to both sizes of fork and spoon. 2. The spoons are very large, too large for me to comfortably eat with. Although I don't mind eating breakfast with a teaspoon, others might.

Not 100% dishwasher safe

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We loved the look and feel of this cutlery, so ordered 2 sets of gold. The knives became discoloured and pitted within a few weeks, despite following all of the recommendations. After multiple emails and photos, Fable finally exchanged the sets for brushed silver and the same situation happened again. Just the knives. I was able to hand scrub with baking soda paste and most of the stains have disappeared, but we have resigned ourselves to hand washing the knives forever to avoid thos ongoing issue. Not to mention, Fable has stopped answering my emails about them. Very disappointing after the investment. I would not order this set again for this reason. Love our Fable dishes

Honestly really disappointed. Stick to glassware, no silverware!

I got two sets of matte cutlery this last Christmas and was so excited to use it. I’ve been disappointed since day one. The butter knives rust in the dishwasher and all of the utensils show water marks/etch marks—they always look dirty when coming straight from the dishwasher even with rinse aid. Honestly, would not recommend at all. I’m really disappointed with this purchase, so is my partner. We’re bummed because we love Fable! We just don’t think this product is it.

Failed execution

I still have not received the item. I called the helpline who send they would resend the item expedited shipping. This was to be a Mother’s Day present. Here we are with no item on something ordered 10 days ago.
