Mirror was detached from the glue

I bought this to give as a gift. I'm glad I opened it to look inside before wrapping it. The mirror had detached from its position and was facing upside down inside the jewelry box. I had to get the appropriate adhesive and glue it back together and now I have to wait 24 hours to ensure it's going to stay fastened. This was an expensive item. There is absolutely no excuse for shoddy workmanship. The manufacturer should have used the appropriate glue to hold the mirror in place and there should have been a quality control check before it was boxed and shipped. I'm disappointed and would not recommend it because it is overpriced for what it is and I had to repair it. It simply is not worth the price that is being charged. This is more like a $50 item at the most.
