do not purchase

I have had this tea pot for about 1 month and use it every day. It has rust around the top where you put the water in and even with repeated washing the smell of the plastic handle and cover remain.

disappointed

lid falls off when trying to empty teakettle. Then steam hits your hand. must wear a hot mitt to protect your skin. handle also gets warm

Would definitely recommend

Just needed an old fashioned tea kettle and was not disappointed. Whistle is loud and that worked for me. Cleans up great. Would definitely recommend.

Tea Kettle

Replaced my older model tea kettle with this new one. It has a larger capacity than some of the other ones I shopped. Macy's also had a larger selection of tea kettles than other retailers

Sturdy

Really didn't want to replace my old kettle but alas the whistle blew its final salvo and the years had taken their toll on its finish so....I sought a good solid replacement that was also practical. I have a beauty from Williams Sonoma; alas it doesn't pour easily but it looks good! Anyway, this Farberware pot is a decent thicker gauge and whistles proudly. Thumbs up!

Faberware tea kettle

I just received this kettle and I like it! The whistle is loud enough for me hear it and light enough to carry without straining myself. Plus the look is appealing, I'm very pleased!
