Too short

Bought these for my teen son, they are about 3 inches too short! He is 6'1" tall, not super tall. They came halfway up his calves. We gave them to a friend who is 5'8" and they can wear them. Even for them, they are "fashionably" short and hit at the top of the ankle bone.
