Macys customer service!

I bought a shirt on line, told customer service I would not be able to pick up for about 2 weeks. They told me no problem. I then received an email that your sending it back to your warehouse unless I pick it up in 2 days. I called customer service and told them to hold on to the shirt, but can’t pick it up for four more days, as I was out of the country. Customer service said they will hold on to it until I get to the store. I went to the store to pick it up, but they ignored my request and sent it back. I was annoyed by this and received no apologies for their incompetence.
