How did this dress get such poor reviews

I love this dress. I got the lighter shimmer (not the black). The fabric is beautiful, thick, and comfortable. The neckline is just right--not too low. The length is generous and goes almost to the floor--just the way I like it. I have worn it once, and it may become my favorite maxi. Thanks Macy's!

Complete Disappointment

I can’t actually review the dress I ordered because I did not receive the dress in the photo or anything close to its description. First of all, it was on a hanger, “almost” covered in a plastic bag, and was tossed in a box big enough for a computer printer! It was not a long formal dress, as expected. It was a midi dress made of extremely poor quality, very thin fabric. This is the second time I’ve had such a disappointing experience purchasing formal wear from Macy’s. Im afraid it will be my last.
