Vintage Denim Jacket

I LOVE this RL denim jacket! Perfect vintage look and extremely well made. I had been on the search for a denim jacket for some time, and I just happened to luck up and snag the last one. It is now sold out everywhere!

Stylish Jacket but Slim Fit

This is a very stylish jacket. The style is almost an exact copy of a vintage suede Ralph Lauren field jacket that is a favorite of mine. What’s missing from this denim one are a top button, a lining and on-seam hand warmer pockets behind the patch pockets. I am 5’6” and a true size 10 in a blouse, not very curvy and wear a 36B. I bought the medium, and it fits me like the model, but it is a close fit leaving just enough room for a blouse or tee. My guess is that’s why the model has the sleeves pushed up with the bottom button undone, and I doubt she has on anything other than the scarf with the jacket. I would say size up if you plan to wear a sweater or use this as outerwear on colder days. Also I would add that mine had a small tag on the belt saying the inside patch with the designer’s name on it is made of genuine cow leather. Thought this might be important information to some. I could not find any information on the garment about what the buckle wrap is made of although the website says faux leather. It also had a very strong dye smell when I removed it from the package. I’m hoping that will air out because I am reluctant to wash it given it is 99 percent cotton and would likely have it dry cleaned.

Not the quality I expected

The first thing I noticed about this jacket was all of the untrimmed treads - not at all the quality I expect from RL. Also this jacket is heavy denim - so heavy I found it uncomfortable even just trying it on for a few minutes. Sending it back. Arms were also very large compared to the rest of the jacket.
