great formula, shades could be improved

the formula was super lightweight, which i loved, and i really loved the tint that it left on my lips over time. my one qualm is that the shade range leans really warm and even the stains all leaned a very warm toned pink. i’d love to see cooler tone shades that feel more sophisticated

Love!

Great color! I reviewed this product previously much more in depth, but basically, it’s my favorite stain! I have had very minimal separation issues. One tube I purchased in store started separating fairly soon after I purchased it. Another one has started separating a bit as well, but only after several weeks of use. I have like 10 different shades and several tubes laying around! I love how moisturizing it is! I find I don’t even need to apply directly with the applicator. I put a little on the end of my finger and dab it on my lips. This keeps the tube cleaner and prevents any gloss from getting on my teeth. It also gives me a more diffused stain look, which works better for my lighter skin tone.

The best.

SO dang hydrating, I wish they made it a clear version so I could wear it always! The stain is beautifully even and long-lasting. This is absolutely the best version of this type of product, whether drugstore or luxury.

Not a stain

I bought two different colors of this lip stain, it really didn’t leave any color behind after it gets wiped off. I was hoping for it to b an actual lip stain. Wished it had more of a color after being wiped. The gloss is very hydrating and actual gloss color looks great tho.

Love!

Absolutely loving this stain! I was a bit worried after reading several reviews talking about the gloss separating. I definitely won’t discredit the experience of others. I did encounter a tiny bit of separating in one gloss I purchased from in store. It is pretty common for these types of glosses in general, but so far, I’ve only experienced it once. I’m sure it has to do with how old it is, if it’s closed properly, temperature, etc. Given the price and how much I enjoy how moisturizing it is and how pretty the stains are, it definitely doesn’t deter me from purchasing again and again! As far as shades, I’m SO grateful to see Petal Pourin! I have not seen this shade anywhere else besides the website and I’m so glad I came here to look! I was desperate to find a lighter shade that wasn’t so nude. I love Blush Rush and Bubblegum Burst (I think that’s the name?) but against my lighter complexion, they look a bit bright for every day wear. I also tried Hydra Honey, which was too nude, and Drippin in Roses (again, not totally sure about the name), which was also pretty, but a bit too brown. Petal Pourin is gorgeous. It’s a little bit more nude than I’d typically go for, but it leans pink so it works! And the stain it leaves is my absolute favorite so far! Natural, but better than my bare lips! Overall, I will definitely keep purchasing these! They are such a great alternative to the usual drying stains.

Separation

It was a good product for about a week or so and then the color started separating and that was a huge let down. I think it’s a product that needs to be fixed or recalled. It is very messy and just caused way too many problems.
