JUST...ok

I had a sample of Tuberose Gardenia from the Private Collection of Estee Lauder, and loved it!! so I decided to try it and come to find it was now Aerin TG. Not the same. Not sure why Estee Lauder changed the product scent somehow, but really not the same. I was disappointed. It's not so bad I don't wear it, but it is the kind of scent I am not sure how other people smell it when I wear it. I have not received any compliments or other wise so far.

When I ordered, I thought it would be safer being picked up at Macy’s versus Mail. Was supposed to be delivered to Macy’s last Wednesday in time for my girlfriend’s birthday on Thursday. It’s Saturday now and still no sign of the delivery to the store. I will never order from Macy’s again unless I have lots of time to wait for the delivery.

Too much vanilla weighs down the florals

Everything has to have vanilla these days and this supposed white flower scent is no exception. I have always favored white flower scents of tuberose and gardenias. Adding a heavy base note to the white flowers weighs them down and does nothing for the floral fragrances. Super disappointing, I’m so done with everything vanilla in fragrances, it’s a cheapie way to avoid paying the cost of more expensive fragrances. Yet fragrance brands want us to pay more. Based on these reasons, I do not recommend this product.

Not a fitting replacment to Estee Lauder Private Collection

For those of us who have experienced the orginal Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia, this is not the same, but then carbon copies usually are not. While the company response is that the orginal is no longer made and this is the closest to itt, they do not explain why they stopped making the Private Collectin version and more importantly why they don't produce it again. This was my mothers signature scent.Everyone commented. It was amazing. Then tney stopped making it. I bought the new Aerin hoping we had found it, despite the negative comments. When we smelled the perfume in the bottle after it arrived, we were happy to smell that familiar scent. UNFORTUNATELY, it does not translate when she wears it. Nothing. She might as well have sprayed some water on herself. If fades almost immediately and no one comments anymore, further showing that the scent does not last. How sad. It's a lot of money for nothing. I will not purchase again. It's very sad. I hope that you go back to the right and true formula. Sad end to what was once an Este Lauder masterpiece.

This is my new favorite scent!

This is now my favorite scent. It lasts all day, is so richly floral and feminine. It's really beautiful. Layered with Honeysuckls for even more depth. I'm working my way toward owning all the Aerin scents. They are all lovely!
