Cracked and bugs

I am extremely disappointed with this bassinet. It was purchased in September for my grandchild, and when we finally opened it this week, we discovered that one of the boards was cracked down the middle. Even more concerning, there were two live bugs inside the plastic covering within the package. The damage clearly occurred before the item was packaged. When I spoke with an associate, I was told there was very little they could do and that I would have to wait five days for the seller to be contacted and approve a refund or replacement. This experience has completely turned me off from purchasing items online through Macy’s. It also makes me seriously reconsider shopping there at all, despite being a highest-tier Macy’s credit card holder. Clearly, Macy’s does not stand by the item that they sell
