Nice design; not so nice fabric

I’m pleased with the color and design of this duvet cover but very disappointed with the feel of the fabric. It’s not a soft cotton which I was hoping for. It’s very scratchy—not something you want to run your hand across. I’m hoping it will soften up after a few washings.
