This gown runs very large and long

I am 5’8 I ordered my average size 16. Depending on the designer I wear between a 14 (if there is some stretch) or a size 16. I had to return the size 16. Based on the fit of the 16 I knew a 14 would also be too big so I reordered the dress in a size 12 and it fits perfectly. The size is great and so is the length. This dress runs large and not intended for shorter women. Overall it is a beautiful gown.
