Great quality sound, especially via pass through
The subwoofer and sound bar are significantly better than some of the cheaper offerings from LG, although the up firing speakers don’t seem to be as effective. The rear speakers are excellent when listening to surround sound music, and the ability to connect to the sound bar over Wi-Fi is a welcome addition. Importantly, the sound bar fixed a surround sound issue I was having with one of my HDMI devices (Nintendo Switch), by using it as a pass through to the TV. Now that function works as intended. As a result, I’ve been able to keep a HDMI port on my LG TV spare.

Mediocre
I decided to take a gamble and go for an upgrade from my LG SL9YG 4.1.2. (Didn't have rear speakers) (This is connected to a LG C3) Unfortunately I don't considered it an upgrade in fact it's more of a downgrade, sound isn't great and more quiet than the previous one, the back speakers seem to overcompensate and sometime overwhelm the actual soundbar making it hard to hear normal conversation, even when I've reduced the "db" on the back speakers. The subwoofer is lack-luster when comparing to my previous one, there is no punch to it and had to raise the db to get any decent results even then it's; lack of a better word; "meh" Wowcast is a gimmic, having it installed via HDMI arc or optical, sounds better and if you play console then you have to connect HDMI anyway so it becomes an obsolete use Quick one, wow orchestra, hear no difference. Wouldn't recommend and if you still have a 6 year old soundbar it is probably just as good or better than latest modles in my opinion

Since having this, the rear speakers have helped so much! We can even hear over the noisey kids!

Super Soundbar
A super soundbar. Love the ease of setting up and the output is so much better than the soundbar we replaced. The surround sound is excellent and once tuned, using AI-Pro sound is working a treat for our room. Try it out. We have e-Arc running as primary input source. The only downside, and it’s a bugbear that annoys me, is LG should include a hard copy setup manual rather than making us navigate online for it. Such an annoyance and too big a document to print out!

Third time is a charm
I bought the S55TR because it said it was wireless soundbar and woofer was wireless rear speakers are not wireless so I returned it . So I bought the S70TY it’s wireless but I didn’t like the sound and it doesn’t come with rear speakers you would have to purchase them. So I returned it. Which brings me to S80 TR this unit is totally wireless. It fits my price range and loving it. I’m definitely going to mount the soundbar to wall. Definitely would recommend
