Cast Iron Pan
What I have to tell all the people that gave a bad review is to educate yourself about cast Iron. You must cure the pan in order to not get rusty. To cure (season) a cast iron pan, first, clean it thoroughly and dry it completely, then apply a very thin, even layer of high smoke point oil (like canola or vegetable oil) or shortening over the entire pan (inside, out, handle) and wipe it off until it looks almost dry. Bake it upside down in a preheated 450-500°F oven for one hour, then let it cool inside the oven, repeating the oiling and baking process 2-3 times for a new or stripped pan to build a durable, non-stick layer.
