this toner is not harsh at all and gets all the extra excess off your face. does not burn or break out. pricey but definitely recommend and it’s worth it!

Gentle toner for normal, combination, and oily sk

After removing makeup and cleansing, I use a toner/skin balancing water to restore the skin’s pH level before applying serum. This step helps the serum absorb better and work more effectively. To put it simply, it’s like a sponge: if the sponge is dry and you put soap on it, the soap just sits on the surface. But if the sponge is damp and soft, the soap liquid can go deeper. Toner works the same way for our skin, softening it after cleansing and reducing tightness, so serum can sink in deeper and work better. That’s why, even though toner may sound like just a “pre-step,” if you have the time and budget, it’s really worth adding to your routine. It’s also wallet-friendly in the long run because toner helps your serum work to its full potential (and serum usually costs much more than toner, so it makes sense to maximize its effectiveness). Kiehl’s Calendula Toner is made from natural ingredients (those dark bits floating in the bottle are real calendula petals), suitable for normal, combination, and oily skin. Because of its natural extracts, it’s also gentle on sensitive skin and helps reduce redness. If you’ve never used toner before or are worried about sensitive skin, this one is a nice choice to start. It’s super gentle, fragrance-free (so no headaches), and its liquid texture makes it easy to apply directly with your hands or with cotton pads. How to use:
 Makeup remover (if you do, at night) + cleanser + toner + serum + moisturizer + eye cream (if you have) + sunscreen (in the morning).

Calendula Toner 🌼

The Kiehl’s Calendula Toner has become one of my favorite calming steps in my routine. Calendula is known for its soothing and healing properties, which makes this toner perfect for sensitive or troubled skin. I love that it’s alcohol-free, unscented, and never drying—it leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean, and lightly hydrated. It works beautifully as a prepping step before skincare or even as an extra cleanse to rebalance the skin. The only downside is that the calendula petals can sometimes block the dispenser, but a quick shake before use completely solves that.

Lightweight and hydrating

Love it, the scent took some getting used to it but overall it left my skin feeling very hydrated without making it feel or look oily which often happens with toners on my skin. I never knew what to do with the stuff in the bottom of bottle. I recommend for those wanting a freshening hydrating toner.

Perfect for sensitive skin

I love it honestly! I don’t usually use a toner but since I bought this one I like it very much. The calendula inside leaves your skin so soft and hidrated. I have the mask and the face cream also and I love them. The texture is watery is perfect for summer and day use
