size of the cheesecake is --

i read the description of this cheesecake, it said 32 lbs. oh my goodness can you imagine a 32 lb cheesecake??? it had to be wrong and of course it was---it's 32 oz It was a very good cheesecake & 32 oz was enough!!! 5 stars for the cheesecake.

Having never before tried a Basque cheesecake, I had no expectations except of the "I hope it's yummy" variety. It definately exceeded the yummy bar. Soft, cheesy, great mouthfeel. Not like the NYC type which is much more dense. Expensive but soooo worth it.

Other occasion to buy:creamy and delicious, freezes well, will definitely buy again. a nicely balanced subtle sweetness vs the sugar bombs that characterizes so many desserts.

Different and Delightful Cheesecake!!

I have been anxious to try Basque cheesecake for awhile but could not find it locally. When I found it through the Macy's website, I thought I'd take a chance as I know they demand the very best. I am so happy I did! This cheesecake is substantial and tasty! It has a thicker and richer texture and not as sweet as a typical American cheesecake. A small piece is sufficient so I serve it at brunch, lunch, or dinner! Sometimes I will serve it topped with fresh berries, peaches, or pineapple. Just lovely! Shipping was great--it arrived in perfect condition and well-chilled from the dry ice. I will be buying it again!

Other occasion to buy:I ordered this basque cheesecake and it arrived frozen over dry ice. I ate a slice before completely defrosted and I was unimpressed. Then I had a defrosted slice and it was amazing! So good I tried to order more. Wow! Great choice!
