Maker itself, good. Coffee pot? Sucks.
So, I’ve had this now for about 2 years. Here is my honest review. I REALLY like the coffee maker. Not love though. lol. The carafe on the other hand SUCKS. The materials used to make this “pretty” are so subpar it’s ridiculous. I hand washed all parts and the handle STILL started chipping in under 6 months. It’s so bad now that I have to be careful how I pick it up because things (pieces of metal?) are starting to stick out. AND… to top that off, things are even chipping in-between where the coffee comes out and where the pot/lid goes. Noticed that when wiping everything down one day. ARE YOU LISTENING GE? I’d much rather have a coffee maker that I can put the carafe, lid and filter holder in the dishwasher than a carafe that I had to wash by hand and still looks like crap now. I mean… it looks BAD. The coffee maker itself is good! I love the fact that I can fill up the water and only brew what I need. Really like the gold setting! Love that it has wifi so we can use that on the weekends before getting out of bed. The controls are easy to use and it’s easy to program. JUST FIX THE DANG COFFEE POT!

looks good
very difficult to program and get auto brew going. Too many buttons to push, knobs to turn. Make it much simpler.

Doesn’t make great coffee but is pretty
Almost gave it three stars just for the look, but that’s not why anyone buys a coffee machine. We buy coffee machines to make coffee. This coffee machine brews too quickly and the coffee is weak. We are also on our second machine. Our first one stopped working two months into having it. Unfortunately, we were told our warranty doesn’t start over…for a new product… Our first machine also didn’t get very hot. This new one seems to get hot.

We'd like to help offer tips for getting a better brew out of your coffee maker. This coffee maker is regulated for temperatures between 185 and 205° F. It is recommended to brew between 195 to 205° F for best flavor extraction. For altitudes over 5000 feet, use 185° F to prevent water from boiling. The type of coffee and freshness is a large factor in the flavor, taste and aroma of brewed coffee. The grind size of the coffee is for brewing using the drip method. Great coffee
Love it! App doesn’t connect to it after trying 6 times. Delicious coffee!

Great features
I like the coffee pot a lot. I picked it because it was white and I changed everything in my kitchen, so I looked at this one watched some reviews. Some people liked it. Something didn’t the only thing that I didn’t like about it is that it doesn’t get the coffee very hot. I turned it up all the way and it is not very hot at all so that’s the downfall it needs to be hotter. I shouldn’t have to heat it up in the microwave. Other than that I love all the features.

Reservoir Cleaning
No way to clean the reservoir. Stays wet and constantly builds up mold and mildew

Continuing Problems + Terrible Warrant Policy
In September 2024 I received a replacement of the same model after complaining of design flaws that caused the coffeemaker's basket to overflow every time I brewed coffee. It caused bitter tasting coffee, and requiring extensive cleaning of the basket, heat pad and stationary parts of the coffee maker, as well as my counter top on many occasions. Additionally, the screw-on lid to the carafe was very tight and very difficult to turn to remove or lock in. I was required to send photos and videos of the issues. This was during my warranty period and was told refunds were not permitted. My only remedy was a replacement of the same model. I inquired whether they had addressed these design issues and upgraded this model, and was told they had not. They also required they receive my malfunctioning coffee maker BEFORE they would ship the replacement. After some protest on my behalf, they did agree to ship and allow me to return once the new coffeemaker was received. The new coffeemaker immediately had the same grounds running over basket issues. The screw top to the carafe was now quite loose, but functioned just fine. I brew coffee every day, and 2 out of every 5 I must unplug the unit to lean it on it's side to clean out all the grounds from crevasses. Immediately after brewing I strain the coffee from the carafe into a large glass pitcher to reduce the grounds and bitter flavor caused by the grounds. I would not buy this coffeemaker again, and avoid future purchases from GE because of the labor intensive photo, video, and explanation pollcy just to get a replacement. It was time intensive and quite ridiculous. You treat every customer as though they are a criminal. Below is a box for uploading images/videos - it does not allow anything to be uploaded.

We're sorry to hear about the coffee maker overflowing. We'd like to help offer some troubleshooting tips that can prevent this from happening. We recommend the use of a minimum of a medium grind coffee. Any finer grind than that can lead to overflow of coffee grounds. We also recommend to use the provided scoop with a flush level of grounds. Heaping scoops can lead to too much grinds/coffee grounds and potentially cause overflows. We also suggest not using a paper filter and the mesh filter together.
