Cute but they Stink

I tried them on and they fit as expected but they have an ODOR I have been unable to wash out. First, I washed them with other clothes and they got that nasty smell on my other clothes, too. I have washed them alone with 2 different soaps and even ammonia. They still STINK. I can't wear them, cant return them, cant donate them, and I cant even use the material for some scrap project. How did they embed this nasty smell so deep into the material?
