Mediocre.

Lovely coffee machine and makes great coffee. Instructions not very user friendly and no noticeable ‘quick start’ section. Also went to the Miele showroom for a demonstration but it was clear the person demonstrating didn’t know much about the machine.

I would definitely recommend

We love the new machine. It has some welcomed improvements over our first Miele. Many more coffee drink selections and also tea. The increased capacity of the coffee beans and water is very convenient. The only surprise is how loud the grinder still is. This is a winner if it continues to perform over time.

CM6 Counter Top Coffee Machine

Great machine. I have only one issue: the amoumt of coffee does not quite make it to 12 oz. However, this is the size I have become accustomed to, after many years of coffee drinking.

Premium Espresso at Home with a Few Trade Offs

I’ve been really impressed with the Miele CM 6160. It’s a beautiful espresso machine that feels premium without being complicated. The water reservoir is large and easy to remove, even with tighter counter space, and the bean hopper is big enough that I don’t have to refill it very often. The menu is simple to navigate, and I love how many drink options it offers. The only downside is the daily maintenance. The milk hose rinse takes a bit of time, even in Eco mode, and it can splash slightly, so I usually wipe the tray after use. Even though the drip tray is fairly large, it still needs to be emptied every 2–3 days. Overall, it makes excellent coffee and feels like a great investment if you don’t mind a little daily upkeep.

Not worth the hassle.

Not worth the hassle. It takes too much work to make one cup of latte or cappuccino. The device rinses itself so many times and the water does not come out of the spout but rather it collects inside the drip tray. It’s a mess and the drip tray needs to be emptied way too frequently. It also means the water reservoir runs out of water too fast because the unit keeps rinsing. The milk frother is also terrible. I’m returning it. Sticking with my nespresso.

Easy to use coffee machine with lots of options

This is a really nice coffee machine. I like that I have many different options for my coffee. It is also nice to have a coffee or tea throughout the day. I don’t have to make a whole pot for one cup.
