Highly Disappointing Product

I was so disappointed with this set. Having a set of the steak knives from a year or so ago, which are great quality, I expected so much more to this flatware set, but it is dollar-store quality. I was shocked. Everything about each piece, the pearl-like handles and the lightness of the metal, are sub-par. Plus there are scratches all over the knife blades, the large & small spoon areas, and the large & small fork areas. Truly like in a dollar store. And a flimsy, wobbly, plastic holder of one serving of utensils was unbelievable. The other servings were in boxes underneath. All the same poor quality. Don't know what happened to the French Home brand! I returned it. I recently got dessert spoons and forks, and they're not great, but nowhere near as bad as these. I also with this order got the 11-piece charcuterie set, which is basically the same poor quality with scratches all over. Had planned to give it as a gift, but would be embarrassed to give something of such poor quality.

We were disappointed with the weight of the silverware because it makes them feel cheap. We will be returning them & definitely keep shopping @ Macy’s for our next set…

Laguiole is my favorite, looks amazing casual or formal dining, comfortable to use and very well-made.
