Poor choice of delivery

My informed delivery said it was out for delivery 7am Tuesday morning by the usps It’s now 12:53 Wednesday, still showing out for delivery , & never got anything, how in the world do you put a big box in someone’s mailbox? The others came by ups. . Never again
