Too hard!
The putty was hard! We kneaded it for a while, tried to warm it in our hands. Finally got it to stretch a little, and it bounces, and picked up newsprint, but it's not easy to manipulate. Just as hard after 20 minutes of playing with it. Not at all like I remember ! Disappointed..

Oh, no! Although Crayola Silly Putty won't transfer to newspaper because of the inks they use, it should be pliable and easy to work with. We are sorry for your frustrating experience. Our Consumer Care Team would welcome the chance to make this up to you. Please contact us at 1-800-CRAYOLA. We hope to hear from you soon!

It isn’t the same as when I was a kid
If you are buying it to transfer comic strips from the Sunday comics like we did when we were kids, don’t bother, it doesn’t work. So disappointed. What purpose does it have otherwise? That is the only thing I remember using it for all those years ago.

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding Crayola Silly Putty. We understand your disappointment, as the printing technology used for newspaper comics has evolved over the years, shifting to nontransferable inks that prevent the transfer onto Silly Putty like in the past. While it may not work for transferring comic prints anymore, Silly Putty still offers plenty of fun! You can use it to lift pencil marks from paper, stretch, snap, knead, bounce, or even squeeze it for stress relief. Why not roll it into a ball for a quick game of catch? We hope you find new ways to enjoy this classic toy! If you need further assistance from our team, please contact us at 1-800-CRAYOLA. - Chris, Colorful Care Team
Not the "Original" from 1960's
Claims to be the "Original" product but the reason I bought it was to transfer comic strip from newspaper to putty. Does not work.

Response from crayola.com
Thank you for taking the time to share your honest review of Crayola Silly Putty. We can certainly understand you being let down and apologize for your disappointment in finding the newspaper comic strip wouldn't transfer to the putty. This is because the printing technology has changed. Nontransferable ink is now used, and newspaper comic print will generally not transfer onto Silly Putty as it did in the past. If you have any further questions regarding Crayola Silly Putty or if we can provide assistance, please do contact us at 1-800-CRAYOLA. - Chris, Colorful Care Team

Nope
This is nothing like what I had as a kid. I was using it for anxiety and needed a new package. I'm so disappointed. It is hard and never softens.
