This is series has had me a chokehold for an entire week and I wish I never had to stop reading. It leaves me with so many feelings that I genuinely cannot even express. Some may consider this smut, but I don’t think it’s THAT bad. Definitely NSFW for a few chapters, though 😅

Got me back into reading!!
While the first book may be considered dense ( I prefer to say world building) it sucked me in. A couple of friends recommended it and while I am still working on getting my husband to read it they have. Gotten their husbands to and even the husbands are begging me to get my husbad to read it so they can discuss the series.

This is my roman empire
Do not buy these books if you want a life. This series is literally a gateway to the entire SJM universe and you will seriously have a hard time putting her books down. I've never been more invested in characters and a world in my life. SJM writes so beautifully where I've laughed, cried, and wanted to throw my book at the wall all in the same chapter. I would literally recommend these books to anyone but be prepared to be sucked in.

Amazing Worldbuilding and Character Depth
I am normally not into sci-fi and fantasy that describe scenes at length, but Maas does an amazing job balancing important elements of the scene with plot progression. The characters are rich and vibrant. Book 4 is almost like a filler episode that ties up loose ends, but still worth the read.

Worth ALL the hype!
All of these books in the set are 100% worth it, including the novella! So many people skip it or think it’s not significant, but it is! It’s a short, sweet, and loveable story to end that portion of the series, before jumping into a different set of narrators. 5/5 stars for all of the books. This series is one that is worth every bit of hype it has gotten!

Impeccible
I think of ACOTAR at least three times a day. This series, along with Throne of Glass, is my favorite of all time. The characters, the world, the tension, the foreshadowing... It's beautiful.
