A classic Home Candle infused with mysterious Oud & Bergamot. To uplift, to wind down or simply to add an air of luxury. Transform the atmosphere with the scent of precious oud. The mysterious, smoky character of this revered wood, central to Middle Eastern fragrance traditions, radiates with the clarity of crisp bergamot and orange. Candle burn time is approximately 45 hours. Lid included.

    • For optimum use and to prevent wax tunneling, burn the candle until the wax has melted and pooled to the edge
    • Use the lid to extinguish the flame
    • Allow the candle to solidify before re-lighting
    • Trim the wick between uses, ensuring it is no longer than 1/4"
    • Do not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time
    • WARNING: Always burn candle within sight and place candle away from curtains or other flammable materials. Position on a flat heat-resistant surface.

My favourite candle

I feel compelled to write this review - after seeing a couple of negative ones. I am a luxury interior designer, and my office/showroom needs to feel lovely. We have used these candles and this scent since 2014. Very consistent, long burning and a wonderful, clean yet deep fragrance. The Oud seems to add alot to this, and hard to explain, but a rich fragrance to be sure. I've never experienced the issues I have just read about, and rarely write reviews - but as this is my favourite candle/fragrance I felt I needed to. I highly recommend this candle. Unless Jo Malone has recently changed the product, I disagree with the negative reviews. We have given these as gifts to Clients, and used in our office. I use this in my home as well.

Obsessed with the scent!

Since I discovered this scent as a perfume a few years ago, I've been obsessed. Lately I've been buying it as a candle as well. I have it on our coffee table and I can't wait enjoy the cozy atmosphere it creates after a long day at work!

I LOVE this candle

I just came to the website to make a purchase of this candle and was also taken aback by the negative comment as well. I was first given this candle as a gift and then was able to purchase several more in a store. I LOVE this candle and refuse to light anything else in my home. The candle gives off a wonderful scent, even when not lit, and is warm, distinctive and just a bit mysterious (the oud). And after I've thoroughly used the candle, I repurpose my black glass candle holders for flowers instead. The quality of Jo Malone candles are beyond compare and worth the higher price for the quality. I'm totally sold on this product.

Like a Bad Date

Let me be clear. I love Jo Malone candles and buy them all the time, from Basil & Neroli to Wild Fig & Cassis. The Oud & Bergamot candle caught my attention because I love woodsy/smoky notes and pretty much anything Bergamot. Having never purchased a black Jo Malone candle in the past, I googled my little heart out trying to determine the difference between black and clear glass candles, as the burn time is shorter and the price higher for black glass candles like this. I literally couldn't find an answer anywhere. I suppose I could've called one of the stores, but since I love her candles so much I took a chance. Huge mistake. Immediately upon opening the lid I was punched in the face by a strong male cologne scent. All of the candles are derived from her different colognes. Sadly, this one is like that boyfriend who never really had good taste or style and sprayed his entire body with cologne. Cough. Gag. Choke. I gave the candle a fair chance, hoping that the other notes would provide balance. After two dreadful hours I put the lid back on. A couple of friends dropped by as this was burning and remarked how taken aback they were by the dreadful stench- and even more shocked that their candle-loving guru would purchase such a monstrosity. Never again. SAVE YOURSELF!
