Perfect Everyday Brew

As someone who loves to make a pour over coffee every morning, it’s sometimes takes too long and too much work. The Delonghi is perfect for when I have a busy morning and I don’t have to worry about making coffee. It’s the perfect machine for every day drinking

Do Not Buy This Machine

This machine is a piece of absolute junk. Out of the box there was no way to get the flashing "warning" light to go off. The instructions are awful and I even watched 7 videos online. Tried everything suggested and the warning light wouldn't go off. The machine is VERY loud and seems like it is built like junk, even though I was never able to make ONE actual cup of coffee with it. I am returning it. Save your money and your time and sanity and choose something else!

Great for coffee aficionados, maybe not for casual

Unpacked this coffee maker and immediately had problems with a sensor not detecting the coffee grounds basket in its place behind the front wall. There is a point behind the basket that is supposed to trip a sensor when put into place, but would go undetected until we inserted some toothpicks and cardboard to help it get into better position when closed. This is a very finicky sensor, approximately 2-3x per week I have to open and shut the baskets into place in order to brew a cup of coffee. When functioning, machine makes really great coffee. Interface allows for different strengths, cup sizes, fairly easy to use. And coffee made from freshly ground coffee DOES taste better than regular ground coffee. Additional downsides are the coffee maker does heat up water alone, so it can’t be used in making tea. It also requires more frequent cleaning of internal parts than other previous coffee makers I’ve owned. It’s a fine coffee maker but I didn’t throw my old one away…..

I expected more than this

I was really looking forward to enjoying my morning coffee with the DeLonghi TrueBrew, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. While the machine has potential, a few issues made the experience less than ideal. Here’s my take: Confusing Printed Manual The user manual was difficult to use because the text was only printed on half of each line. I had to search for the manual online, which was inconvenient. Icons Could Use Labels The machine’s buttons only have icons with no text descriptions, which can be confusing for new users. I often had to refer back to the manual (or the online version) to figure out what each button does. Adding small text labels would make it much more user-friendly. Espresso Is Just Average The espresso function works for a quick cup at home, but it doesn’t produce much foam or crema. It’s fine for daily use, but if you’re looking for a true coffee shop experience, it falls short. Inconsistent Coffee Volumes I tried brewing 8, 12, and 16 oz cups, but the actual output measured on my scale was noticeably less than expected. This lack of accuracy was disappointing, as I was hoping for more reliable portion sizes. Reliability Concerns The biggest issue I faced was reliability. After only four uses, the machine stopped working. It started producing white smoke, wouldn’t power back on, and the infuser became stuck. After checking online, I found that others reported similar problems, which raises concerns about this model’s durability. Final Thoughts The DeLonghi TrueBrew has some good ideas, but it’s held back by a confusing manual, unclear button design, average espresso, inconsistent measurements, and serious reliability issues. I wanted to love it, but based on my experience, I’d recommend exploring other options if you’re looking for a hassle-free coffee machine.

Love it!

This machine is great! I love that I can use coffee beans or ground coffee. There are plenty of size options, including a 40 oz carafe. I like how easy it is to drain the water used and throw out the coffee grounds. The water is easy to fill up. It is bigger than my last coffee machine. The buttons are easy to use and understand. It has different temperature choices. Although the hottest isn’t as hot as I’d like. It is a little loud when it turns on, grinds coffee, and turns off. It’s gotten less loud as time has gone on. I do wish I could run just hot water through (without the coffee) for tea. Overall, love the machine!

Stick to whole beans!

I was extremely excited to receive this from Influenster for my honest review. I love coffee in the morning and really wanted to love this machine. Well, despite its flaws, I do. It brews whole beans perfectly. As intimidating as all of the features seem, it’s pretty simple to use. Where it gets less than perfect is the process to brew ground coffee. You need to add the ground coffee once you have turned the machine on and not simply having it powered on. You have to make sure the size cup you desire and that the ground icon is lit up. If not, the grounds pour straight through the machine onto the internal components. You then need to open the front, which I do by prying open with the tips of my fingernails. Sweep out the coffee grounds into the grounds catcher or a cup. I then vacuum up the remaining grounds. Close the machine. Remember to power it on correctly and replace the grounds. Also, the opening to add the grounds gets a bit messy. The machine should come with a tiny brush to sweep away grounds. Overall, I will likely convert to only whole beans. I hope that the element within the machine that grounds the beans for brewing has a long life or is easily replaceable . It would be a shame if that were not the case. I still love it and can’t wait until I am finally using all of its bells and whistles.

Perfect Balance Between Quality and Ease of Use

If you are like me, and like an excellent cup of fresh-ground coffee in the mornings but also place a lot of value on ease of use (and want the convenience of a Keurig!) this machine is for you. I’ve used a similar product from Cuisinart which was a nightmare to use, it would have been far easier to grind your own beans at that point. The clean up on this, as well as the quality, is far better. I also get grossed out by the idea of the nozzles/pipes not being clean, but this machine does an excellent job of rinsing even those out, automatically, after every brew. The customizable boldness levels of each brew are spot-on and really allow you to adjust the coffee to your liking. The idea on this machine is well-executed. My only complaint is that I had issues using pre-ground coffee, but that isn’t major from my perspective—if you’re buying this machine, you’re buying it for beans. It looks great on the counter too! All around, I would recommend for those like me. If you’re a real coffee snob or you don’t mind a Keurig-made watery mess, then this machine isn’t best suited for your needs, but for me, it works perfectly.
