Where is the down?
I bought one of these coats last year. It was great so I bought a different color this year. Terrible. It was paper thin with very little down in it. I am unclear how they could claim 800 fill power. Anyway, I returned this one immediately.

Tiny pockets tight hip
I wanted to love this coat for an upcoming trip to Europe in the fall. I got a small regular. I am 5’7, 34 DD chest, size 4-6 in almost every brand. I wanted to wear this coat with a cashmere sweater or regular sweatshirt underneath. Something thicker than a long sleeve shirt and thinner than a hoodie. I can’t do that in this coat because the cut is so fitted. The chest was fine. I would have liked the sleeves to be 1-2 inches longer. But the arms and hip were 1” too small. I can’t just throw this on and know it will work with a few thin layers. I thought about buying a Tall medium but they don’t have the burgundy in that cut. But the last straw was the pockets. TINY and SHALLOW. Like tween hands TINY and can’t fit a normal phone without stopping, carefully wedging it in, etc. The placement was weird too. Again I want to be able to throw my phone in without any fuss and have some deep pockets. Sadly returned.

Bad zipper
I bought this down coat and found that the bottom zipper kept getting stuck. This was so frustrating that I took it to a tailor to be repaired and it still wouldn't work. Bad construction, apparently. I really love it otherwise.

Cheap quality
I bought this because it was packable. After first wash inner lining tore in places. Cheap quality.

No drawstring for the hood.
I like the coat but I bought it to replace one that had a drawstring in the hood. This one doesn't. What's the point of a hood if you can't keep it on your head? Sigh.

Jacket Would Be Great, But...
I initially loved this jacket -- warm, lightweight, cute, good fit. However, after only a couple months' worth of use, the material has split in two places from light wear. If that's the kind of quality that Lands End offers these days, the second jacket i bought (but haven't worn yet) is definitely going back.

Lightweight but warm
The coat is lightweight but warm. It was perfect for my trip to a city covered with ice and snow. The hood was essential to keep warm, especially in the wind. The color is lovely.

Perfect “in between” weight
This “in between” coat is exactly what I was looking for. I’m 5’9 (130lbs), got the size S-tall, and it fits perfectly. I love that it’s light enough to stuff in my backpack for days when my commute home is warmer than my commute into the office. There is no shedding of feathers. The only thing it needs is an inside breast pocket.
