Great Coat!

I haven’t worn this coat in the cold yet as I bought it for a trip to Yellowstone in the winter, but I’m sure I’m going to be warm. The list fits perfectly and I have room for some layers. There are LOTS of pockets both inside the coat and out. Soft warm pockets for hands too. I’m glad I bought it!

Great jacket

Love this jacket! I’ve been on the look for a stable winter jacket and finally found it here. The jacket is warm and it has so many deep pockets outside and outside. It’s a little on the heavy side but I don’t mind it! Definitely get it

SO MANY POCKETS & SO WARM!

This is my second LE Expedition Parka - the first one I still have and use for dog walking and snow shoveling but needed a newer one for a trip to Iceland & Norway. LOVE THEM. I have long arms and always get the tall. The XL fits perfectly with room for a layered shirt and sweater and not feeling too tight. Love all the pockets - often did not carry bag bc pockets hold so much! Hood is adjustable and can be configured to be warm and still have visibility. Like others I am not in love with the patch but everyone has a logo somewhere so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I can live with it. IT is warm, but definitely heavy. So for smaller people I can see that as a problem. I'm 5'8, 155# bought the XL tall and LOVE IT.

A pocket lovers dream!

I was looking at purchasing a North Face parka and someone in the comments recommended this one instead. The fit, in my opinion, is on the large side. I'm 5'5, 150lbs and have a muscular build and the M was far too big. The S fits well. If you're a person that needs pockets, you will absolutely love this jacket. I think I could carry my entire kitchen in it if I needed to. The hood is a great size and fits a normal sized head well (my Eddie Bauer parka hood was way too big). It is a boxy-looking and I don't find the pulls in the center help with that but it is comfortable and warm. The bottom zipper will slide up on you occasionally when you stress it (like sitting down with the jacket zipped) but it hasn't been too much of an issue. Considering the price, I am quite satisfied so far.

It’s warm and size S runs a bit smaller. It also rides up around the neck when seated. Overall nice but would get a size bigger.

Always cold, soaks up water

I'm not sure why all these reviews are so positive. I am originally from Chicago and can handle the cold. However, I live in the South now. This coat is barely warm enough for North Carolina but I was miserable in it when I was traveling in NYC. Additionally, the so-called waterproof fabric absorbs water and feels physically cold to the touch as it evaporates. If you want to be cold and damp, buy this coat. What's worse, is that when I purchased this coat, Land's End had a guarantee where you could return it at any time. They no longer honor this policy. The pockets are nice and deep but save your money and buy something warm.

Lots of pockets and great coverage!

I bought this to replace my previous Expedition Coat. Overall I love it! Lots of pockets! I think the 2 pockets at the top might be better facing inward with zippers. I don’t like to open my coat to get my ID. The inside pocket does not have a zipper, only a snap. The length is great as it provides great coverage. Very warm and waterproof.
