This board short is not as slim as the photo implies. It is roomier throughout, and runs large in the waist. Based on the sizing chart I ordered a 12 and 14 regular. The 12 fits, but I doubt it is snug enough to stay up when wet. FYI I have no hips, so the waist needs to fit well. I'll return it and order the 10.

Great Longer Shorts

I have some of these board shorts in a different sizes from a few years ago, but wanted some in size 12, so I got these in black and navy. I've seen other reviews that say the fit is smaller this year, but I have 10's and 14's, and these 12's that I ordered are right in between them in size. So I don't see that the fit has changed. They fit great, I like the back yoke as board shorts are traditionally cut, and they're a good length for not showing much thigh. I got the ones with the attached panty so I can wear them with a tankini top as a full swim suit. My other ones don't have the panty, and I wear them over a one piece suit when I swim as I don't like my legs to show. All of these shorts do rustle and make noise when you move in them, and the pockets are a little shallow to trust putting anything important in them. But other than that, I highly recommend them as it's nice to find quality board shorts that are this length for women.

Modest swimwear

I was looking for modest swimwear to cover this “older” body and found it at Lands End. I have continued to purchase swimwear with you for the last several years. Even though I’m older, I don’t need to look frumpy in the swimwear I find. You have met my need for a beautiful, modest and functional look that fits well.

Swim Shorts

These are very big/wide in the legs. The material is thick and uncomfortable. Not flattering at all. It’s too expensive to return item or I would have definitely done so with these.
