Great feature gone

I have bought a number of PFG shorts for the last 20+ years. The craftsmanship is good and the durability excellent. However, one feature I liked was the side pocket that I could put my phone in. The last three pair that I purchased did not have that feature and looking at the current pictures does not show that pocket feature. There are reasons for redesign, but in this case you have lost a lifetime customer!!! 😢

Ruined

These used to be great shorts. Now they suck. They got rid of the extra side pocket and the front pockets are so deep that if you put anything in them the white mesh pocket hangs below the bottom of the leg. Whoever made these decisions should rot in hades. I have spoken!

Terrific product and not just for in the water

These shorts are great for in the water but also just around the house, in the yard, playing golf, etc. I have about 6 or 7 pairs and love them all.

Wear These Everyday

Love these shorts. Since I retired 6 years ago, I wear shorts from March to December in Nebraska, then January and February in Florida. Out of 365 days, I wear these 350. They fit well and they look great. I WEAR NO OTHER SHORTS. My only complaint is that the netting wears out before the shorts do.

My go to summer shorts. I have 3 pair for hiking biking swimming they are great. And they looik nice enough as shorts to go from the beach into town etc.

No Phone Pocket

I bought Backcast III in the past and it had a phone pocket - the Backcast IV does not and I am very disappointed. Last year I contacted Columbia and asked them to make the phone pocket larger - I guess they just eliminated it. They should let people know there is no phone pocket.
