Leaks horribly!

We just camped with this tent on RAGBRAI, and it leaked like a sieve, even with the optional "rainfly" attached. We had inches of water in our tent. A disaster and very frustrating. My team members did not have water in their tents. Run away!

Hello, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our Coleman 6-Person Instant Cabin Tent. We’re truly sorry to hear that your recent trip during RAGBRAI was impacted by unexpected water leakage, especially during such an important and active event. That’s not the experience we want any of our customers to have. Our Instant Cabin tents are designed with convenience and weather resistance in mind, using our WeatherTec™ system, which includes inverted seams and welded corners to help keep water out. However, we understand that real-world conditions can vary significantly, and severe weather can sometimes overwhelm even well-prepared gear. The optional rainfly is highly recommended for added protection, particularly during sustained or heavy rain. We also recommend ensuring the rainfly is correctly tensioned and securely fastened to promote runoff and reduce pooling. In addition, checking that the tent is pitched on slightly elevated ground (when possible) can help prevent water from collecting beneath the tent floor. That said, having "inches of water" inside your tent is far beyond what we would consider acceptable, and we want to make this right. We’d appreciate the opportunity to investigate further whether that’s a potential manufacturing issue, a fit problem with the rainfly, or another factor. Please reach out to our customer service team with your purchase details, and we’d be happy to assist with a warranty claim depending on your situation. We know your confidence in Coleman may have been shaken, but we hope to have a chance to restore your trust. Your feedback helps us improve our products, and we take it seriously. If you need our assistance, please contact us through our official Coleman website contact US form https://www.coleman.com/support/contact-us or via live chat, and we will be happy to assist you. Thank you, and please stay safe! Coleman Consumer Care

Good with quick set-up

Pretty much as described. Easy set up. Obviously needs rain fly, but an old one or a tarp will do. Suggest a tarp under for "floor" wear. A little heavy, but again, as described. Tent bag is expandable to allow for use which is very good..

Six person cabin tent

Received my tent, instructions say you need two people to assemble the first time. I put it up by myself in three minutes!!! Incrediblely easy, I gave 4 stars because, I haven't used it yet. But WOW, so easy to put up.

Extremely happy with our choice, up in minutes!!

Reasons for purchase were: 1. Wanted a tent that was easy to put up and we could stand up in. 2. Wanted one without the whole top being mesh so we could use with a portable air conditioner and try to keep the cold air in the tent. We purchased the 6 person for two people and though it says you do not need a rain tarp, we are old school and bought one anyway. We put a tarp under our tent. It’s is super easy to put up as described, only like a minute or two. Takes longer to put in the stakes or anchor down the tent ropes. Taking down is a little longer trying to get the air out, my husband does good at getting back into the original bag. Hook at top perfect for a hanging light!! First camping trip it poured rain the last night and then had light showers the entire next morning when we were making breakfast and packing up. Tent held up and there were no leaks. Out of the 4 times we have used the tent, 3 times we brought the portable air conditioner. Found out quickly we needed to unzip a few windows a few inches or else the tent walls were being sucked in. We already owned the air conditioner or we could used a smaller one. Is a bit large for the tent but works great! Since the tent is dark, it heats up quickly if the sun is shining directly on the tent. Obviously we camp where we have electricity so the one time we camped in the cold, we used electric blankets. Fits queen sized air mattress, a small table, our bags and a small stool with some extra bstanding room. Unless you are using small sleeping pads, maybe even cots, in my opinion it would be a tight fit for a family of 4. It is perfect for the two of us!

Affordable, durable material

I bought this tent and set it up all by myself, 70 year old grandmother. Easiest set up I have ever experienced. I have owned a dozen tents. I get a new tent everyear and set it up on my property and my grandkids come every weekend and we sleep in the tent. The tent remained up for 1 year to the day. It went through hard rain, hail, ice storms, high winds, Texas heat and cold. Finally a 40 mile an hour wind shredded the seam where the the wall meets the floor. Otherwise it would be intact. I do use rebarb for the stakes which is the key because the stakes all tents come with will not withstand. I am buying another one this year. Also I added the additional rainfly which is a necessity if you really want no leaking and you plan on using it year round.

Replacement parts

This is my second instant tent. First one just got old. I've had this one a year and a half or so and one of the corner pieces that holds the pole to the bottom of the tent and has the steak Loop in it broken half. Now the 10th doesn't stretch out taught on the floor. Is there any way I can get a replacement part?
