This teapot is much more than shown in the picture. The quality is magnificent, the crystal knob is beautiful. It was packed so that nothing could happen to it in shipping including spout.

I absolutely love the look and feel of this mug. It’s beautiful in person, has a nice weight to it, and feels substantial and well made overall. I’ve seen some reviews mention that the mug can get very hot when filled with coffee, but I haven’t experienced that issue. I use a Keurig, so my coffee may not be as hot as other brewing methods. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to notice that the metallic rim started to discolor after the very first use. I’ve also noticed a black residue coming from around the rim, which is concerning and not something I expected, especially from a mug at this price point. I purchased it on sale and really do love the way it looks, so I’ll probably keep it and use it as a decorative piece in my kitchen rather than for drinking. It’s a beautiful mug, but I wish the quality of the rim matched the rest of it.

I haven't actually used the kettle yet, but it's exactly what it looks like on the website. It's very pretty. My reason for the 3 stars is that the packaging is awful. It was packed securely, in bubble wrap in a shipping box. I first purchased this for myself, as it's something I have been keeping an eye on for a bit and I purchased it on a good sale. Pending my thoughts on it, after receiving, I wanted to purchase another as a gift for a family member. There is no way a MacKennzie-Child's tea kettle should not come in a proper MacKenzie-Child box/pacakging. As I stated, my actual tea kettle was wrapped in bubble wrap (securely) then placed in a shipping box. There is no way I'd present this to someone as a gift, it should most certainly, at this cost, be in a manufacturer box.

I was so disappointed it arrived with a sharp chip on the spout. It was gorgeous but needed to be returned.
