Unfortunate.. Beautiful, except wouldn't function!

This typewriter looks absolutely beautiful, however it would not actually type! The keys would print just parts of each character or number, if anything. I called for technical assistance and we checked into all our options. There wasn’t any way to fix the problem, because the ribbon was functioning normally; just the keys weren’t making the proper imprints. I was very sad, because the looks of this typewriter and the quality are seemingly outstanding otherwise. I loved the pink color! I wished the function would have been in order. I’m not sure if I just got a lemon, or if this was typical. The tech support person said that the problem had not been previously reported with other units of this type.
