Uncomfortable waiste

These jeans are very cute, however the waist is not very stretchy...very unforgiving. If you have a flat stomach, then they are perfect. I just don't know many plus size 16 women with flat stomachs. If I size up, then the crotch and but will be too big. I really wish that designers would create clothes for average people instead of models. I had my hopes up for these and was let down again.
