I have been using the old formula double wear almost daily for the past 5 years, before that it was saved for occasions where I desperately needed to hide old eczema scars on my face (started using it regularly due being able to afford to use it as my go to foundation /had too many bad reactions to other "high end" and drugstore foundations). the new formula gave me eczema flares on all areas of my face where I don't concentrate my primer application - one week was all it took to get painful stinging and oozing blisters around my eyes, hairline, and jawline. so yayyy now I will have even more areas on my face that I will need to cover up. and with there being no light at the end of my tunnel/my so far fruitless journey of finding the right replacement foundation my skin and sanity are very much screwed right now. and of course my shade is the only one not available in estee lauder's 'last chance' section of their store.

I’ve been using Double Wear for over 20 years because of its high pigmentation—it has always been my gold standard for full coverage, a true matte finish, long-lasting wear through any activity, and zero oxidation. I’ve tried dozens of high-end foundations over the years, but nothing ever compared to Double Wear. Unfortunately, the recent formula change has significantly altered the qualities I loved. The neutral tones I used to rely on now appear noticeably orange, and the shade continues to shift a few hours after application. The finish is no longer matte—it doesn’t fully set, feels sticky, and requires much more setting powder just to reduce the shine and tackiness. The coverage has also declined; the formula feels thinner and more liquid than before, and it no longer provides the same full coverage. Longevity has taken a hit as well, as the foundation looks worn down and diluted by the end of the day. I’ll have to start searching for a new full-coverage matte foundation

I love the finish of this Estée Lauder foundation. Despite the high coverage, it looks so natural and doesn't feel cakey at all.

New Formula is horrible
Hate the new formula, bring back the old one or will have too look for different foundation. Sad to switch, wanted to like it but I just can’t.
