Fantastic product for damaged nails
I gave in and put gel polish on my nails for a trip but my nails were ruined after taking the gel polish off. I found to the rescue and it has made a huge difference in how my nails look. I’ve been using it since March and I love how pretty it makes my nails look and how much better they are growing out. I still have more nail growth to go till the damage is completely gone but this product covers the damage and it gives my nails a healthier look. Highly recommend. You do have to take it off weekly and redo but it’s well worth the effort.

Impressive product!
A year ago I had my first gel nail polish done at a manicure salon. Not gel nails, just gel nail polish. I took it off very very carefully as prescribed and my nails were really a mess. In addition to them already being thin and cracking as I've gotten older, the surface of them was wrecked from the gel polish. I got Essie to the Rescue and was surprised at how it completely filled the cracks and smoothed surface of my nails. I was able to put a second coat on and not have to pay attention to it for almost a week. When I removed it my nails, though still thin, were stronger and the surface issues have been smoothed out. Now a year later I continue to use Essie to the Rescue as the only nail treatment or polish that I use. I am on my third bottle. Thank you for a product that really works for me!

Worth it
I really liked this product. My nails were feeling weak and a bit damaged, and after using Essie To the Rescue, I noticed they felt stronger and looked healthier within a few uses. It goes on smoothly, dries fairly fast, and doesn’t feel heavy or sticky on the nails. I also liked that it gave my nails a clean, polished look even without color. It’s simple to use and fits easily into a routine, especially if you’re trying to recover your nails from gels or just general breakage. It’s not an overnight miracle, but with consistent use, it definitely helps improve nail strength and appearance. I’d repurchase it if my nails started feeling weak again.

MOLDY - don’t buy!
Mold!! I have had this product for less than a week and used it twice..happened to be looking up reviews during my second use and saw a LOT of people mentioning they found mold in their bottle, going back to over a year ago. Held my bottle up and looked at it from below to find that mine also had black mold in it. Disgusting and disappointing considering the cost to buy the product

Hi there! We appreciate you contacting Essie regarding your To The Rescue Uv Gel Damage Repair. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Loved it but mold makes me 2nd guess using it
After using gel polish and soft gel nails for a while I took a break. My nails are naturally thin and peel easy and this Eddie To The Nail Rescue worked wonders. I applied two thin coats (occasionally 3-4 thin coats for more coverage) over the span of a month changing the polish every 3-5 days. My nails are noticeably stronger, and longer than they have been in years! (Current photo is with one thin coat only). However… I am noticing some dark spot on the bottom of the bottle which is not the mixing beads. Is this mold growing in the polish? Never had this in any of the polishes I have had and concerned. None of my other Essie products, OPI, Gelish, and CND polishes (clear or colored) have ever had this. What would cause this mold? I stopped using the bottle as I am concerned of infection. Next bottle I buy I will open in the store to ensure there is no mold as others have noted they have found.

Hi thereMichy1906, it is wonderful to hear that To The Rescue UV Gel Damage Repair has been such a game-changer for your nail strength and growth! Achieving that kind of progress after years of struggling with thin, peeling nails is a huge win.Regarding the dark spots you've noticed in the bottle, we get how concerning that is, especially when it involves the health of your nails. While we cannot provide a definitive laboratory diagnosis, it is worth noting that nail polishes are "anhydrous" (meaning they contain no water), which creates an environment where mold typically cannot grow. Between that and the typical solvents that make up nail colors and treatments, we know it’s not mold. However, your decision to prioritize safety and stop using the bottle is absolutely the right call—especially if it gives you peace of mind. Disappointed finding mold in the bottle
Same as so many reviews, very disappointed after purchasing 'Essie to the rescue' just a couple days ago to help with my splitting nails, only to find mold in the bottle. At first I thought it was just the beads, but as you can see that's not the case.

jill2breal we are am very sorry to hear about your experience with the To The Rescue UV Gel Damage Repair. It is completely understandable that finding unexpected dark specks in a treatment meant to help splitting nails would be concerning and disappointing. While this can’t be mold, its certainly off putting. If you would like to speak to us directly about your recent purchase, give us a call @ 866-313-7845 M-F 9 am-5:30 pm ET
Fabulous product that WORKS!!
So sad to hear about the issues others are experiencing. This product is fantastic!! I have had thin peeling nails all my life and this is the first product to actually help strengthen and thicken my nails. It didn’t peel and lasted more than 5 days. Absolutely love this product!!
