THIS IS NOT A REPLACEMENT/SIMILAR TO THE SMOOTH FINISH FOUNDATION POWDER

When I learned the Smooth Finish Foundation Powder (SFFP) was discontinued, I asked LM if there is another product that might replace it. It was recommended I try the Real Flawless Feather Matte Powder Foundation. I tried it and it IS NOT similar to the Smooth Finish Foundation Powder. I have bought numerous brands so far, nothing compares to the SFFP. LM please bring the SFFP back as I would hate to see you lose some of loyal customers.

A Downgrade in Disguise

I was genuinely intrigued by this launch, but the product falls short almost immediately. The packaging is a clear downgrade. It looks cheap, feels cheap, and the compact is the worst part: awkward in the hand, clumsy in design, and far less polished than a complexion product should be. Even the sponge applicator feels too small to be useful.The formula does not make up for it. Although the coverage is acceptable, it feels heavy on the skin and lacks the smooth, effortless finish that made the original Flawless Smooth Foundation so reliable. Primer only makes it worse. The shades are also not true equivalents to the original, which makes the change feel careless.This does not feel new in the right way. It feels like the original was stripped of what made it special and returned in a lesser form. Please bring back the original. It was simple, elegant, and far better than what replaced it.

Easy to apply with long lasting coverage BUTVery wasteful because the foundation product itself does not come in a refill. You have to purchase the entire plastic case.3 stars for poor packaging. I won’t purchase again.LM - be a little more environmentally conscious

Not Good

I loved your Smooth Finish Foundation and almost passed out when I went to repurchase and found out it has been discontinued. While a few remained discounted and in stock, my color was gone. The Real Flawless performs like a cheap substitute. I truly cannot stand it. People would come up and touch my skin while wearing the Smooth Finish Foundation saying I had perfect skin which I don’t. However, with the Real Flawless, I have had no compliments on my skin. I wish you guys would bring it back. So many items today have been changed by companies and unfortunately ruined IMO.

Disappointing substitute

I was hoping that this product would work as a substitute for the Smooth Finish Foundation Powder, which I loved and used for many years. Alas, it is a poor substitute. It does not sit on the skin evenly and provides poor coverage. I will not be purchasing it again.

Good Coverage

Laura Mercier never disappoints. I discovered it in the early 2000s and loved their compact powder foundation. Unfortunately, they stopped making it and have this new edition. I like it...but not as much.
