Cracked and icky styrofoam

I ordered bamboo because it’s sustainable, yet it came with so much Styrofoam that will outlive me, my children, my grandchildren, my great grandchildren, and prob the house i live in. Also, it cracked when I was trying to get the screws tight- see pic. Do not tighten the screeners that much!

Poor quality-returned the item

Poor quality; directions are not that helpful. Suggestion that it be assembled near where it will be placed seem prophetic. They advise that this should be done to avoid moving it!
