Poor packaging
Nice design however parts come off easy when handling. As well I had to purchace 2 to complete one as parts were missing and of different colour's when needed. This is not my first brickshop car and I have has issues with every one purchaced

Missing Pieces
I am missing 3 pieces the quality control is lacking. I am missing a major piece for the hood. ME08483MM, piece ME742988LG, and one ME03328E.

Falls apart easily
My son got this as a Christmas present and it has yet to be built. This has been a very frustrating build as the pieces do not properly fit together, it completely falls apart when we try to open the hood or touch it for that matter, back wheels keep falling off, hood is hard to reattach....we have set it aside multiple times to keep from just throwing it away. Will be very hesitant to buy more of these type of designs in the future

I'll Never Look At Speed Champs The Same...
I started and finished the Corvette Grand Sport this weekend because I locked myself indoors due to the sub zero temperatures in my neck of the woods. I'm usually all about the main competition whose title begins with the letter "L", but I saw this Vette AND the big Hot Wheels logo on the box, and I had to have it. This was my first Mattel brick build and this is my honest review. First and foremost, the sheer amount of detail the designer put into this build was incredible (the valve covers had the Corvette logo, Corvette badge on the steering wheel, flywheels in the engine, etc... It even had a a serpenine belt!). Secondly, the functioning parts (hood, doors, working steering column, etc..). Those are fantastic! Third, (and some of you may not see the big deal) the fact the tires are made by Firestone...That's just cool in my book. Fourth, that little metal plate with the model of the build you just did and the Hot Wheels logo that finalizes the build. That is the icing on the cake that made me genuinely smile when I set it in place. There are so many quality points regarding this set, even the instruction manual that not only had crystal clear instructions, but also some fun facts! I can't say enough good about this build! BUT...I don't want to come off as someone who was paid to say this, so I will give a litle bit of criticism. If there is ANYTHING to critique, it is the block seams. I understand it might be difficult to create something that has absolutely no brick seams, but that would be the ONLY complaint I had about this build. It still looks great and the build was just incredible. If I had a real complaint, it would be the fact Mattel hasn't created enough sets just yet, but the Brick Shop is only just over year old. I really look forward to my next Mattel Hot Wheels build, and I absolutely can't wait to see what sets are coming our way.

they deliver it after christmas
I paid extra money to get it arrived before christmas, christmas pass and i havent receive it
Not worth the money
Purchased this item based on reviews and it's not worth it. Pieces feel cheap, it easily falls apart as your building it. Hood does not fit properly, had to remove top half of engine to get it fit. Front wheels don't fit correctly. Totally not worth the money. I've build hundreds of Lego's and some chinese lego knock off's that fit better than this.

Defective Design
I purchased this set a couple weeks ago, and was excited to get started on the build. This Corvette is a great looking vehicle, and I was looking forward to putting it on display. Unfortunately, the building experience was terrible. Some pieces fit loosely together, others were perfect, and still others were nearly impossible to snap together. The size tolerance of the pieces is unacceptable. In addition, there were two major design flaws which almost caused me to stop and discard the entire set. Since there are many good reviews, I have to assume my set was defective. Flaw One - when the steering assembly is properly build the 2 front tires both aim in. If I attempt to straighten one wheel out, the other wheel turns in even further in. It's impossible to get both wheels straight. I unassembled and reassembled 2 more times, and the results were the same. Flaw Two - neither front wheel properly fit inside the front wheel wells. Once squeezed inside, the wheels can't be turned at all. Again, i assembled and disassembled 3 times and the results were the same. I REALLY wanted to love the Hot Wheels Brick Shop cars as they are all beautiful, but I will not purchase any more as this build was a "train wreck".

Not bad for a flagship product
It turned out great so far, but it is tough build, for 7 year olds, especially given some of the diagrams. Two constructive feedback from me: 1) Some parts are really hard to plug together. 2) A lot of connections are quite flimsy; not much reinforcement on some structural connections. Example: things are connecting on a 2x1 when there was clearly soace for a 2x2. Exhaust pipes and bumbers come off with a slight touch. With that said, I'd still buy more of these items. Lego fan here but competetion is good. And Mattel will get better with time. For those who are complainig about a misfit of front wheel, you messed up on step 159 (you're welcome!). Also, I did not recieve a free product. Bought it on sale during prime day.
