Gorgeous dress
This velvet Donna Karen dress exceeded my expectations. The fabric and colors are gorgeous and would complement any skin tone. The dress is sleek with artfully draped ruching, gold tone buckle, and side slit. The boat neck is very flattering and shows a fair amount of chest without being low cut. For reference, I am 5’2” and weigh 160 pounds. The dress ends approximately 2 inches below my knee. I feel beautiful in this dress and recommend the purchase.
beautiful fabric but...
I love the fabric and the potential of this dress; however the fit for me was just wrong. I am a petite and ordered my normal DKNY size. The bodice is inches too long which destroys the look of this dress. My tailor says no way too alter because too adjust the bodice the back zipper is a real problem. woe is me. I need to make a decision soon.

Beautiful dress!
I ordered the size 4 and 6 petite. I kept the 6 petite. It’s very pretty. My measurements are 37.5 hip,36d bust, 5’2. Perfect dress for a fall wedding. Could even be a mob dress. I thought it would have more stretch than it did. you can wear a regular bra. The dress fits perfect. I did not have problems with the shoulders slipping as one reviewer stated.

Just a gorgeous dress
I never own a velvet dress, but this one is a must own beauty. The beautiful design hugging the body nicely with enough stretching velvet material. The beautiful dark brown base with tactical placement of floral print on the side and a subtle side split took inches off your waist. This is a gorgeous evening dress, wish there is a daytime version available, maybe with a brighter color.
