This boys jacket is part of our versatile P-Layer system, which allows for customization of warmth between seasons in pure Polo style. It can either be worn on its own or zipped into a "P-Layer 1" piece (sold separately) for added insulation. Developed with a water-repellent fabric and a down-alternative fill, it comes with a drawstring pouch for convenient storage.

    • The fit of this P-Layer jacket is based on Ralph Lauren's boys' sizing (sizes 8–20). It runs comparable to Ralph Lauren's girls' sizing (sizes 7–16)
    • We suggest customers who typically order Ralph Lauren's girls' small or medium to order their usual size. Customers who typically order Ralph Lauren's girls' large or extra-large should order a size large
    • Size medium has a 21.5" front body length, a 20.5" back body length, and a 29" sleeve length. Sleeve length is taken from the center back of the neck
    • This jacket can be zipped into any "P-Layer 1" piece (sold separately)

The packable jacket

Great kids packable jacket. Light weight. Great for layering. I will say that Ralph Lauren typically runs big and this jacket did not. I bought size 8 thinking it would be big in my son and it fit him perfectly. We got the blue color which looks exactly like the picture. Quality is excellent. I do recommend it.

Mild Winter Weather Jacket

Size runs small. I purchased a medium for my 10-year-old, and he will likely outgrow it within a month. It is lightweight and seems better suited for mild winter weather. Would suggest to size up, especially if you want to add layers.

Sizing for Ants

The sizing of these coats is comically small - Zoolander's school for ants is more accurately scaled and it's not even close. The L14-16 fit like a midrift shirt on an "average" size 14 year old boy while the XL18-20 barely will last this season. It's like someone who has never seen a teen boy in person scaled this to fit the size person they see on their monitor.
