Great project to pass the time but can be messy
My daughter had a great time with this. I will say it can get pretty messy if you don't preplan. Lay something down or do it inside a tote so clean up is easier. I do wish some of the gems were a little bigger. Some of the gems were beyond small and hard to find.

Worth it !!
My 9-year-old son loved it because anything involving discovery catches his attention. He has ADHD, and few toys or activities hold his attention. The packaging is very secure, and the price is a bit high for what it comes with, but it's worth it because it's for my son.

Hard to break

FUN!
This toy excavation kit is definitely a lot of fun! It's also a lot of mess, not in a bad way though just make sure to put down some newspaper or a trash and or something to easily get up all the dust. My son had a great time chizeling away the rock to get to the fossil, I do wish the fossil itself was a little bigger but either way it's more about the experience especially if your child is into dinosaurs and things of that nature. Would recommend!

Dino kids kit
I have two all the kids who are big into dinosaurs, and this is the perfect kit for them. This kid has so much that they love about it first of all they can dig like real archaeologist, and it comes with two dinosaur teeth, which we are going to use to make necklaces
