My son was very excited to receive the toy and looked forward to "excavating". Everything was great until the end. He found 3 of the 4 hidden items quickly and kept going to find the 4th item. After he completely and thoroughly went through everything, the 4th hidden item was not included. The box clearly displays there are 4 surprises included. Although my son enjoyed "digging" he was very disappointed there were only 3 items.
Awesome Stem Toy
My kiddos loved this! It can make a mess though so have some old papers or something to contain all the dust that occurs from chiseling away.

Fun Little STEM Activity for Curious Kids
My 9-year-old liked this excavation kit, it was a fun hands-on activity that kept him entertained for a while. He enjoyed the process of digging and discovering the little treasures. It’s a simple but satisfying kit for kids who are curious and like a bit of a challenge.

Fun and Educational
My daughter and I really enjoyed digging for the hidden treasure. The kit includes the tool to excavate the gems. The recommended age is six and up but I think even younger teens would enjoy it.

Very fun!
It has very easy to follow instructions. It included informative points about the treasure. Definitely do it with something underneath for ease of cleanup because it will be messy. My son was able to find all the treasures with minimal help. He wished it would come with a brush. Overall, it was a fun experience.

Other excavation kits offer a much better experien
We've tried several excavation kits, and my boys usually love unearthing real gems and minerals. However, the Discovery #MINDBLOWN Mini Unearthed Treasures 2-Piece Excavation Kit was a letdown for us. The kit includes only one plastic chisel, making the excavation process slow — very time consuming and frustrating. My kids lost interest until we borrowed better tools from another kit. After all that effort and time, the "treasures" we uncovered were mostly plastic coins and gems, with only one real mineral—fool's gold. My kids didn't think the hard work was worth it, and I agree.

A fun excavation experience for kids
This is a kid’s excavation kit that includes a chisel and two items that you use the chisel to chip away at to unearth 4 SMALL surprises. Calling this is STEM toys is a bit of a stretch, but most kids like to dig away at things. It’s very messy, so it makes for a good outdoor experience.

Fun with the kiddo
It is a nice fun interactive toy to get a busy childs hands moving. A little messy so lay down something to catch the dust. Highly recommned
