Love the features but some pilling of fabric
This is a beautiful looking car seat. I like the lighter neutral tone, and that it will easily go from high back to backless booster. I have another high end booster with a similar latch attachment mechanism, and I found this one much easier to install. The latch arms extend pretty far and make it easier to get a good locking position. It also enables us to adjust recline on the booster, which my 6yo son is loving. He is able to buckle and unbuckle independently, and this has easily replaced the previous seat as favorite. My one point of improvement would be to change to a more pill resistant fabric. There already is some minor pilling from normal use. While I would say the benefits definitely outweigh the minor aesthetic annoyance, that would be one thing I would love to see changed. I expect this seat to serve us well through our booster years. I received this product as part of the stellar product testing panel, but these are my honest opinions.

Functional and User Friendly
I received the Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport (cream color) through a promotion with the Stellar Product Testing Panel and have really enjoyed this product so far! As a mom of 3 children (ages 11 through 6), I have done ample research, for more than a decade, on car seats, booster seats, and ways to keep my children safe as we drive. Even though I had not previously purchased a Maxi Cosi product, I have always respected the brand, and the Rodi Sport lives up to my expectations of this great brand. The seat came securely packaged and in perfect condition. The instructions were clear to follow and I was able to easily and safely install the booster seat (with the back) into my car in less than 5 minutes. My son was so excited about a new seat that was just for him (especially as the third child who has received many hand-me-downs)! We both loved that the cup holder could be easily attached to either side of the seat. He has said that the seat is comfortable and is excited to take naps in it on longer journeys. I also love that I can remove the high back part of the booster when he out grows that and we can only use it as a booster for longer! Something of note is that I have already noticed a few small grease stains on the bottom seat. We were given the cream color as part of the promotion , which I think is a beautiful color, but the stain is more noticeable than the black would be. Despite this, I will certainly be recommending the Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport to others in the future!

Six year old approved
This is a decent, mid-level booster seat. I like that it connects with the LATCH system, so I know it will stay in place, but lining up the hooks was not easy. The arms that hold the hooks extend out, which helped, but lining them up to connect them took multiple attempts and climbing across the seat from the other side. Once in, it seems solid and my six year old said it's comfortable. Attaching and detaching the back to change between high-back booster and backless booster was simple and easy, though needs to be done when it is not in the car. Comes with one cup holder that you can attach to either side, comes off easily, and is dishwasher safe. The booster I received is a light tan, which I just know is going to get grubby looking pretty quickly. I recommend going for a darker color. Really Nice Hybrid Car Seat
I received this car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I really like this car seat. It is sturdy and fairly lightweight. It has a detachable cup holder that can be switched to either side. That is a great feature because we all know that part of the car seat always needs cleaned. I also really like that this car seat can transform and adjust as my child grows. The back of the car seat goes quite high. It is very easy to adjust the back to the proper height. It is very easy to put the back on and to take it off. However in the directions for putting it together it does say that it will “click”. It is not an audible “click” like you think, it is more of the sound of it going into place. The feature that stood out the most to me was really how easily the back came on and off. It is quick and easy and a very minor adjustment. This is a great option for being a great sturdy car seat that you will definitely feel safe and comfortable with your child riding in.

Super comfy
I received the product from the stellar Product testing panel. My overall impression of the seat is that it was lightweight, clean and comfortable per my son’s words. Once I took it out of the box, there was 2 pieces and it was easy to put together. It was light and easy to move from one car to the next if needed. It was easy to adjust to have a proper fit for my son. As soon as he sat down in it to test it out he said it was “comfy”. I will take that because there are times that we travel and being comfortable is super important to me. The material used for the seat looks and feels high end. I love that it can be a traditional seat and then can change to a backless booster. It’s a great concept and the only booster seat I will need. It can be broken down from the traditional to the backless booster pretty quickly. The feature that stood out most to me was how easy to put together and light it was.

Wish I knew about this sooner
I cannot believe how easy this car seat was to install and utilize! My daughter couldn’t stop talking about how comfortable it was compared to her other car seat. We just got a second car and the timing of this new booster could not have been more serendipitous! I wish I knew about this booster seat sooner!! Truly!! In our other car, we have the UppaBaby booster, and while I received this Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport for testing as part of the stellar product testing panel, I will be buying a second to replace our Nuna. I kid you not— this thing is plush, comfy, has arm rests and a sturdy cup holder (our other one broke off in a week). To have a 6 year old say anything (let alone anything positive!) about a booster is wild to me. Don’t sleep on this and don’t waste your money on any other product. 10/10 would recommend for any of my friends and their kids.

Good Quality and Sturdy car seat
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this car seat. Overall, this car seat is well made with nice comfortable and breathable fabric as well as a sturdy build that stayed well in place after installation. I like the neutral color of the off-white and the grey. The fabric felt nice and smooth and soft and can tell it was very breathable. The fabric was well made, and stitched well around the booster, overall great quality. For installation, overall it was easy to install. This particular booster had the solid “hooks” versus straps to hook into the seat. It did take a little just to attach it since they are solid, but once it is clicked into place, it is very sturdy and the bottom of the booster does not move which I feel like can happen, but with this booster, you know it is sturdy and stays in place once it’s installed. So you know it is safe and sound providing peace of mind. I like that this booster can be set up with the back and headrest or as my child grows that portion can be removed, and only the bottom base of the booster can be used. It allows great flexibility as my child grows, which I like and it allows for easier transportation when we travel so it’s not a bulky booster. It did feel lighter in general too. One thing I do wish the booster had was a second cupholder. This one only came with one. I also did feel like this booster isn’t as wide as others, but it didn’t seem to affect the comfortability in space for my child. However, it is something to note depending on the child sitting in it and how they grow. If space is a concern in the car this one I think is an average size but not so large. I would recommend this car seat if you’re looking for one that will grow with your child and affordable price tag.

Excellent booster
Recently, I decided it was time to switch our youngest from a 5 point harness to a high back booster seat. When this one first arrived, I was first impressed by the fabric.. it has a luxurious feel to it and the seat overall has a sleek and pleasing style. I like the high back and padding around the head which made transitioning to a booster feel less intimidating. It was actually a pleasure to install! The rails clip right into the car which feels so much more secure than the booster just sitting on the car bench. Adjusting the seat to fit my little one was so user friendly and took less than a minute to setup and install. My daughter has been practicing doing the buckle herself and can now get it without help about half of the time with this seat. I’m grateful that this will likely be our last car seat/booster since this one also will transition into a backless booster seat when we’re ready for that step. Thanks to the stellar product testing panel for sending me this booster to test!
